Not too long ago I released Better by the Gram: Ten Actionable Steps to Increase Your Visibility. That book was about increasing visibility on Instagram, hence the use of the word "gram" in the title. I liked the title. I decided to write other books about growing social media and I decided to use "Better by the Gram" as the name for all of them. This book is about Twitter and I titled it Better by the Gram: A Little Birdie Told Me. I released it already to no fanfare and I am posting the chapters for free prior to the final update which will only have a few changes. The final version will only have few changes and be in the proper order. You can see all formats for sale and buy it HERE.
I am releasing this chapter by chapter or you can purchase the book HERE. Also, the book is available for FREE on the Google Play Store and Kobo all the way until the final chapter is posted on my website, then it will go to $2.99 for all versions of the ebook. The print versions will be various prices as well.
Maximizing Twitter Chats for Brand Exposure
Twitter chats have emerged as a powerful tool for engaging with your audience, building relationships, and increasing brand exposure. A Twitter chat is a live conversation that takes place on Twitter, centered around a specific topic and identified by a unique hashtag. Participating in or hosting Twitter chats can provide your brand with valuable opportunities to showcase expertise, connect with influencers and thought leaders, and expand your reach. In this chapter, we will explore strategies for maximizing Twitter chats to enhance your brand's exposure.
The first step in leveraging Twitter chats for brand exposure is to identify relevant chats within your industry or niche. Research and find chats that align with your brand's values, target audience, and areas of expertise. Look for chats that attract active participants and have a strong following. Engaging in popular chats can expose your brand to a wider audience and increase your chances of building meaningful connections.
Once you have identified the relevant Twitter chats, take the time to observe and understand the dynamics of the chat. Follow the designated hashtag and observe how participants engage, the format of the chat, and the topics that are discussed. Pay attention to the chat's regular schedule and any specific guidelines set by the host. This observation phase will help you familiarize yourself with the chat's flow and etiquette.
When participating in a Twitter chat, it's important to bring value to the conversation. Listen actively to the questions or prompts posed by the host and respond thoughtfully. Share insights, tips, and relevant experiences that showcase your brand's expertise. Be genuine and authentic in your interactions. Avoid overtly promoting your brand or products during the chat, as this can come across as spammy and detract from the overall conversation. Instead, focus on providing valuable contributions and establishing yourself as a trusted resource.
Engage with other participants in the chat by responding to their tweets, asking questions, and sharing relevant resources. Twitter chats provide an excellent opportunity to network and build relationships with influencers, thought leaders, and potential customers within your industry. Show interest in others' perspectives, retweet insightful tweets, and acknowledge valuable contributions. By actively engaging with others, you increase the visibility of your brand and create opportunities for collaboration and further exposure.
Hosting your own Twitter chat can be a powerful way to position your brand as a leader in your industry and gain exposure. When hosting a chat, choose a relevant and engaging topic that resonates with your target audience. Select a date and time that allows for maximum participation. Create a unique hashtag for the chat and promote it across your social media channels and through influencers in your network. Consider inviting guest hosts or experts in the field to provide diverse perspectives and attract a wider audience.
During the chat, act as a facilitator by posing questions, moderating the conversation, and encouraging participants to engage with each other. Keep the discussion focused, and ensure that the conversation flows smoothly. Monitor the chat closely, respond to participants' questions or comments, and retweet insightful contributions. Hosting a successful Twitter chat can position your brand as an authority in the industry, increase your followers, and generate buzz around your brand.
To maximize the exposure of your brand during Twitter chats, it's important to promote your participation or hosting in advance. Use your social media channels, email newsletters, and website to announce your involvement in a chat or promote your upcoming chat. Encourage your followers to participate and share the news with their networks. Additionally, consider collaborating with influencers or thought leaders who can help promote your participation or chat to their own audiences, further amplifying your brand's exposure.
After the Twitter chat, take the time to review and analyze the engagement and impact of your participation or hosting. Measure metrics such as the number of impressions, retweets, replies, and new followers gained during and after the chat. Evaluate the quality of the interactions and the level of brand exposure achieved. Use this data to refine your approach for future Twitter chats and continue building brand exposure.
Twitter chats offer valuable opportunities for brand exposure, networking, and relationship-building. Participating in relevant chats allows you to showcase your expertise, engage with industry influencers, and reach a wider audience. Hosting your own chat positions your brand as a thought leader and generates buzz. By actively participating, engaging thoughtfully, and promoting your involvement, you can maximize the impact of Twitter chats and enhance your brand's exposure on the platform.
